Have a general familiarity with SAP capabilities in translating design information into costs, materials ordering, and accounting-familiarity with PowerPlan would be a plus.
Have an understanding of how individual Bill Of Material components (materials and labor, plus overheads) can be aggregated for estimating purposes into Compatible Units and assemblies is important
Understanding of the design to construction process is essential
Knowing that process in a utility context, either gas or electric, will be very helpful
Be familiar with the sourcing/procurement process for non-standard or long lead time material
Lastly, and probably most important, have good general IT BA experience/skills
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc. or equivalent work experience
5+ years of related experience or equivalent
Experience in Waterfall, Agile and Scrum methodology
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
Proven experience with business IT applications
Ability to lead and influence decision-making working with senior management at client
Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
Highly self-motivated and directed
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
Strong customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Experience with MS Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of SQL
