SAP Business Process Expert – Project System & Variant Configuration

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Process Expert Project System & Variant Configuration to join our team and play a key role in advancing our digital transformation supporting business processes for supply chain management. As a Business Process Expert for SAP, you will be accountable for evaluating, testing, and improving business processes within the Project System (PS) , Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) modules in S4/HANA and LO-VC (Classic Variant configuration) in ECC.
You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, identify opportunities for optimization, leverage SAP best practices to streamline workflow, and work with the SAP Digital Transformation Team for implementation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) and Configure‑to‑Order (CTO) business processes within SAP, with strong working knowledge of SD (Sales and Distribution), PP (Production Planning), and sales‑order‑specific BOMs.

Responsibilities:
Support end‑to‑end ETO/CTO business processes across SAP, covering variant configuration, sales execution, project planning and execution, manufacturing coordination, cost control, billing, and project settlement
Configure and optimize project structures, WBS elements, networks, activities, milestones, and settlement processes
Ensure tight integration of PS with related modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP)
Support and maintain SAP Variant Configuration (LO-VC / AVC) to enable configurable products and complex order scenarios
Design, enhance, and troubleshoot configuration models, characteristics, classes, dependencies, constraints, and bills of material
Collaborate with Engineering and Sales teams to ensure VC accurately reflects product rules, constraints, and commercial requirements
Implement business process improvements using industry best practices and SAP functionality.
Work closely with functional analyst, consultants, and developers to configure or customize SAP solutions to meet business requirements.
Plan and conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for PS and VC enhancements
Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP issues across project and configuration scenarios
Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flows, procedures, and training materials.
Provide training and aid to end-users on new SAP processes and functionality.
Assist in measuring the effectiveness of implemented SAP process improvements, and help adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Act as a subject matter expert on SAP supply chain planning business processes, providing guidance to stakeholders as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.
In depth knowledge of the SAP PS/AVC/LO-VC modules and processes within SAP along with a general working knowledge of the other modules.
Good understanding of end‑to‑end SAP ETO/CTO business processes and integration across SAP SD, PS, VC, PP, MM, and FI/CO modules
Excellent at diagnosing and finding solutions with sometimes involved business processes.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the propensity for efficient collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Able to create user documentation that clearly defines a process or procedure.
SAP certification(s) in relevant modules is a plus, but not required.
SAP S/4HANA experience required and SAP ECC a plus.
25-50% travel for production support and testing.
