SAP BODS Data Migration Specialist Lead | Remote Work | Duration: 12+ Months | (W2)
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration professional with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Data Services (BODS) to support large-scale SAP transformation and migration programs. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end data migration activities, covering both Master and Transactional data objects.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Lead and execute end-to-end SAP data migration activities using SAP Data Services (BODS)
ā¢ Design, develop, and optimize ETL jobs in SAP BODS for data extraction, transformation, and loading
ā¢ Handle migration of Master Data (e.g., Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance master data)
ā¢ Handle migration of Transactional Data (e.g., Open AR/AP, GL balances, Sales orders, Purchase orders, Inventory, etc.)
ā¢ Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and error handling
ā¢ Work closely with functional teams to understand data requirements and mapping logic
ā¢ Prepare and execute mock migrations, trial loads, and cutover activities
ā¢ Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with business rules
ā¢ Support S/4HANA or ECC migration projects
ā¢ Create and maintain data migration documentation, mapping sheets, and load reports
ā¢ Guide junior consultants and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for data migration
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
ā¢ 10+ years of experience in SAP Data Services (BODS) Must
ā¢ Strong experience in SAP Data Migration Must
ā¢ Hands-on experience migrating both Master and Transactional data objects Must
ā¢ Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data transformation logic
ā¢ Experience working in large SAP implementation or transformation projects
ā¢ Strong SQL knowledge and debugging skills
ā¢ Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Good to Have:
ā¢ Experience in SAP S/4HANA data migration
ā¢ Knowledge of LTMC, LSMW, Migration Cockpit
ā¢ Experience in multiple mock runs and cutover planning
ā¢ Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks
