Salesforce Administrator

General Purpose:
The Salesforce Configurator & Administrator is responsible for configuring, administering, and optimizing the Salesforce platform to support TPx's business operations. This role focuses on declarative configuration, platform administration, user & data management, security, and automation to enable Sales, Service, and Marketing teams to work efficiently and effectively within Salesforce.
Reporting to the Director of IT Solutions, the Salesforce Configurator & Administrator partners closely with architects, developers, business analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce configurations that align with platform best practices and organizational standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Analyze business requirements and lead solution design, configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of Salesforce applications, primarily using declarative tools such as Flows, validation rules, approval processes, and page layouts. Own design specifications, testing plans, and release coordination, working with QA to build test plans and with BAs on release planning while minimizing routine administrative and ticket-based work through automation
Design and manage Salesforce data models including custom objects, fields, relationships, record types, and picklists, ensuring scalable architecture aligned with business requirements and solution designs.
Configure and maintain user access and security architecture including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and security controls, with focus on supporting designed solutions while routine access administration is minimized or delegated where appropriate.
Design and optimize Lightning record pages, apps, and user experiences to support business workflows, translating requirements into scalable configuration and ensuring alignment with overall solution design.
Design and implement Salesforce automation (Flows, approvals, and related tools) to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort, owning the solution design, build, and testing lifecycle.
Define and support data quality controls including data imports, updates, deduplication, and integrity standards, ensuring data models and governance align with overall solution architecture.
Support integrations by defining configuration requirements for connected apps, authentication, and data mappings, ensuring integration approaches align with solution design and platform architecture.
Collaborate with Salesforce Developers and Architects to ensure configurations align with technical designs, platform standards, and overall solution architecture while owning the declarative solution components.


Other Responsibilities:

Operate autonomously in a self-directed role, owning configuration and administration tasks from design through deployment.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve platform usability, performance, and scalability through configuration.
Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and recommend best-practice Salesforce solutions.
Support ongoing compliance with data governance, access controls, and role-based security policies.
Manage sandbox environments, refreshes, and configuration consistency across environments.
Maintain platform documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
Provide platform monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution as needed.
Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and declarative best practices.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration and configuration experience in an enterprise environment.
Strong proficiency with Salesforce declarative tools, including Flows, security model, Lightning configuration, reporting, and dashboards.
Experience supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, including marketing-related solutions.
Familiarity with Salesforce integrations, data synchronization concepts, and working knowledge of SOQL.
Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments and using Jira or similar work tracking tools.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salesforce Administrator certification required.



Other Qualifications:

Experience with Revenue Cloud, Communications Cloud, or CPQ.
Experience supporting deployments using tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Gearset, or Copado.
