Job Description: Please note: This position will support a territory covering Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Eastern Nebraska. The role can be supported remotely from within the territory. Optimal support location is in the Des Moines area. To support this challenge, the Syngenta Professional Solutions team is currently seeking a Sales Territory Manager to support Syngenta’s Turf Business. Accountabilities: Manage a key turf territory maximizing sales efforts in the golf and lawn care markets. Develop trust as well as a solid working relationship with the key end users in the territory. Develop trust as well as a collaborative relationship with distribution in the territory. Achieve revenue and profit objectives delivered by robust business plans. Develop and implement “Go to Market” strategies that support Brand Value. Manage key end users and distributor sales representatives to achieve sales target. Collaborate with Syngenta sales and marketing personnel to implement sales plan. Execute sales and marketing plans to gain maximum market share within the territory. Properly steward product portfolio by making sound recommendations to end users. Qualifications: Required: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Agriculture or related field. A minimum of 2 years of field experience in either in sales or a technical capacity. Up to 75% travel is required for this position. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship support from Syngenta. Desired: Technical knowledge of the product portfolio and of competitive products in the market. Must be able to recognize competitive activities in the marketplace and know how to effectively minimize impact without compromising profit targets. Must have agronomic knowledge to write spray programs for end users, provide on-site consultation and be an overall resource within the territory.
