Position Overview
This is a highly versatile, cross-functional role that goes beyond a single specialization. Rather than focusing only on sales or operations, this position bridges:
• Sales support
• Procurement & sourcing
• Inventory management
• Vendor coordination
• Cross-border communication (Japan–U.S.)
Depending on your strengths and background, the role can be tailored to maximize your impact and growth.
You will play a key role in supporting the flow of goods from Japanese suppliers to U.S. retailers while ensuring smooth operations and strong partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate procurement and sourcing operations with Japanese vendors
• Support sales activities, including order processing and client coordination
• Manage and track inventory levels and logistics
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and business partners
• Facilitate smooth communication between Japan and the U.S. teams
• Handle a wide range of sales operations / procurement / account coordination tasks
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is well-suited for candidates who have experience in:
• Trading companies, wholesalers, or distributors
• Manufacturers handling physical products
• Businesses involving importing from Japan and selling in the U.S.
• Sales, sales operations, or supply chain roles involving tangible goods
You are likely someone who:
• Is comfortable working with inventory, logistics, and detailed coordination
• Enjoys hands-on, operational work (not purely strategic or abstract)
• Has a strong sense of ownership and organization
Requirements
• Bilingual in Japanese and English
• English: Business level or above
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage operations carefully
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience across multiple functions (sales, procurement, operations, etc.)
• Ability to work in less structured environments and organize tasks independently
• Leadership potential and desire to grow within the company
