Sales Development Representative (US Northeast region)

This role is built for an experienced, highly autonomous sales professional who is a true hunter. Operating fully remotely from the US East Coast (to ensure optimal collaboration with our Amsterdam headquarters), you will be driving new business across other US time zones (Central and/or Western).You won’t just be booking meetings; you’ll be the first credible voice prospects hear, opening conversations with Higher Education leaders and shaping the earliest, most critical stages of the sales cycle. Because this is a highly independent role, we are looking for a proactive self-starter who thrives without micromanagement.You’ll partner closely with your AE on outbound strategy, respond quickly to inbound interest, run structured discovery, and hand over opportunities with the clarity AEs need to win. You’ll build upon your strong sales fundamentals, collaborate effectively across time zones, and act as the connective tissue between Marketing and Sales.And your work matters. Outbound Sales Development (60%)Partner with your AE to focus on the highest-value ICP accounts in the regionOperate as a proactive hunter, crafting thoughtful, personalized outreach across email, phone, LinkedIn, and events.Engage senior Higher Ed leaders (Deans, CIOs, CTL leaders, Instructional Designers) with credibility and curiosityLead first meetings and guide structured discovery that uncovers real challengesSpot early champions, clarify needs and shape strong use-case fit from the start2. Inbound Sales Development (15%)Be the first trusted voice prospects hear by responding quickly and professionallyRun short, targeted discovery conversations to understand pain, urgency and prioritiesMove qualified leads into high-quality opportunities or guide lower-intent leads into the right nurture pathCapture crisp notes so AEs can pick up seamlessly and keep momentum strong3. Opportunity Progression (10–15%)Join early AE conversations to ensure a confident, smooth transitionGuide prospects through our sandbox and demo environmentsSurface early champions, blockers and relevant contextContribute to business cases, early proposals and next-step preparation4. Admin & Learning (15% of your time)Keep HubSpot clean and insight-rich so pipeline decisions are fast and accurateLearn directly from senior team members and continuously refine your sales craftParticipate in workshops, training and skill-development sessionsShare prospect insights that help Marketing and Product improve our message and offeringWhat you bring:If you're driven by passion, guided by compassionate competitiveness and fueled by deep curiosity, this role is for you.You have:Location/Hours: Based on the US East Coast (for daily overlap with the Amsterdam team), with the willingness to cover Central and/or Western US territories.Experience: 2+ years of B2B SaaS SDR/BDR experience. Note: We are looking for an experienced, proactive hunter; passive or junior profiles will not be a fit.Autonomy: A high degree of self-motivation and discipline.
