Position Summary
Ragan Communications is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) with drive and intellectual curiosity to support the growth of our membership community. This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who is motivated to build business pipelines, develop client relationships, and contribute directly to revenue growth.
As an SDR, you will identify and engage prospective members, generate qualified opportunities, and secure calls for the sales team to grow new business. You will serve as a key ambassador of the Ragan brand, helping communications professionals understand the value of our memberships, events, and resources.

Responsibilities Achieve sales goals and key performance targets that lead to new business.
Prospect and identify new business opportunities through outbound outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.)
Qualify inbound leads and secure meetings with them for sales team.
Research target accounts and tailor outreach strategies accordingly.
Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects.
Maintain accurate records of all activities and opportunities in CRM.
Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to refine messaging and campaigns.
Follow up with prospects in a timely and professional manner.
Represent Ragan Communications professionally in all interactions.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices and professional networking to develop new business and keep competitive edge.
Maintain fluency in Ragan’s suite of products and services and how they deliver value in marketplace.
Meet or exceed monthly targets for meetings booked and pipeline generated.
Other duties as assigned.
Attributes/Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role (B2B preferred).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
Comfortable with cold outreach and high-volume activity
Ability to quickly learn and articulate value propositions
Familiarity with news and information retrieval for research
Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot or similar) is a plus
Interest in media, communications, or professional development industries is a plus
