Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative will play a pivotal role in generating new business opportunities by engaging prospective clients and setting up qualified meetings for the sales team.ResponsibilitiesConduct research to identify potential prospects within target industries or marketsUtilize various channels (email, phone calls, social media, etc.) to initiate contact and establish relationships with prospectsQualify leads by assessing their needs, budget, timeline, and decision-making processCollaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective lead-generation strategiesEngage with prospects to understand their pain points and educate them on how our products or services can address their needsConduct discovery calls or meetings to gather information and qualify prospects as potential opportunitiesAssess the prospect's level of interest and ability to make purchasing decisionsEffectively manage and update prospect data and activities in CRM softwareCollaborate closely with the sales team to hand off qualified leads and provide necessary information for the sales processAssist in the development and optimization of sales strategies and processesStay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to provide valuable insights and recommendationsShare feedback and insights from prospect interactions to help improve marketing and product strategiesProactively seek professional development opportunities to enhance sales skills and product knowledgeStay informed about our products or services, industry trends, and best practices through ongoing training and self-studyImplement feedback from sales managers or team leaders to improve performance and achieve sales targetsSkillsMinimum of one year of experience in sales development or a comparable role at a SaaS companyBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Experience conducting outbound sales across mediums such as cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, etcExperience generating sales-ready meetings and opportunities for Account ExecutivesStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage prospects and build relationshipsExcellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to handle objections and overcome challenges in the sales processSelf-motivated and goal-oriented, able to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with CRM software and sales enablement toolsKnowledge of sales and marketing techniques, including lead generation strategies, is a plusA strong propensity to learn is necessary, along with critical thinking skillsA proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets is an advantageAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment where agility and quick adaptation are criticalBenefits100% paid Medical/Vision/Dental for employeesFlexible time offParental Paid Leave policyMonthly internet stipendFlex daysCompany OverviewBetterworks is a software platform specializing in businesses improving employee performance and engagement services.
