Sales Data AnalystCompensation Range: $70,000 - $85,000The Mortgage Business Intelligence & Analytics team oversees all activities and functions involved with the company’s Business Intelligence platform, giving mortgage company business leaders access to reliable, actionable data to better manage and understand the business and drive company growth.We are seeking an experienced Sales Data Analyst to grow our team’s reporting and analytic capabilities. This role will be supporting our sales team, working hand-in-hand to develop core reporting necessary to drive our sales strategy. The right candidate will be able to derive and deliver additional insights to the sales team with an increase in sales being the ideal outcome. The Sales Data Analyst may use statistical and/or observational analysis to identify the most effective sales leads and methods to increase our conversion rates and improve our operational efficiency.This opportunity is fully remote with the option to work from our offices in San Diego, CA, Irvine, CA, or Omaha, NE for those who prefer an office environment. You will be joining a dynamic, fully remote team which is distributed across pacific and central time zones and supporting our business across all US time zones.This will be a highly visible role which will be key in driving value for our primary organizational goals, with exposure to sales leaders across the company, and our CFO. Responsibilities will continue to expand, with opportunities to support analytics projects aligned with team and organizational goals.Duties include:Reporting & MeasurementCommunicate with business leaders to understand business needs and gather requirementsCreate standard reporting to establish baseline of existing sales funnel performanceDevelop relevant reporting to track performance of pilots and processes, as well as supporting the businessProperly establish metrics to measure success and identify additional opportunitiesData Synthesis & PresentationEffectively distill data into understandable and summary resultsCreate strong data visualizationsDeliver findings and insights to upper management and stakeholders using storytelling techniquesPropose actionable recommendations on product and processConduct A/B testing, identifying control groups to measure againstTeam SupportHelp grow team capabilities through best practices, skill sharing, and collaborationSupport other team functions such as operational reporting, regulatory reporting, and data development, as neededAdditional duties may include:Statistical & qualitative analysisDevelop statistical models to identify relevant variables impacting salesEstablish hypotheses and recommendations including documentation, identifying test groups, and establishing time framesQualificationsStrong knowledge and experience with mortgage sales required including understanding of entire sales funnel, from lead generation to closing3-5 years’ experience in an analytics role such as data analytics, business intelligence, decision science, data science, analytic insights, or similarBS in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, computer science, decision science, or similar, or equivalent professional experienceComprehension of core structured data and data warehouse conceptsStrong report development and data visualization experience including dashboards, KPIs, and data presentationAbility to work with a variety of personalities, including senior level management, and effectively use data to drive actionable recommendationsRequired SkillsExpert level understanding of Power BI including connecting to data sources, data transformation, data visualization, and data interactionCentral semantic model development including creating measures using DAXAdvanced experience with (MS) SQL and datamining techniques using multivariate datasetsStrong written and verbal communication skills including ability to build effective data visualizations, reports, and present to a variety of audiencesAdditional Preferred SkillsProficient with analytics programming language such as Python or RStatistical analysis experience including regression analysis, k-means clustering, and other statistical methodsPredictive modeling experienceApplicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship.
