Safety Coordinator

They are seeking a dynamic Safety Coordinator to promote a positive safety culture by ensuring compliance and supporting safety initiatives across all branches. Responsibilities Acting as first point of contact for all incidents Managing and coordinating WorkSafeBC (WCB) claims, including communication with employees, management, and external stakeholders Conducting or assisting in annual safety audits Assisting with the review and development of policies and procedures Supporting Joint Health and Safety Committee members and Safety Captains in the execution of their tasks and ensuring all locations are complying Ensuring monthly safety activities, inspections, training, and other safety requirements are met in all branches Ensuring required first aid personnel is maintained within each location Conducting site visits to branches to support inspections, safety initiatives, and compliance Participating in safety integrations of new acquisitions Skills 1 to 3 years of experience in safety administration or coordination Proficient in MS Office Strong written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently Benefits Company paid medical health care plan for you and your dependents Dental plan, vision plan, and prescription drug coverage Annual health care spending account Life insurance, short term disability insurance, and travel insurance Sick leave plan – 100% employer paid Employee assistance programs RRSP matching Ongoing professional development opportunities Company Overview Leavitt Industrial Group is a long-term owner and operator of industrial-focused businesses across North America.
