Route Delivery Specialist

Job Description:

The main duty of the Delivery Specialist is to drive and manage store vehicles for the purpose of transporting merchandise to business clients securely and in a timely manner. This job also involves accepting payments for cash-on-delivery purchases and gathering any items that customers are returning.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
? Utilize corporate automobiles to distribute goods and components to customers while prioritizing safety and timeliness.
? Ability to use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
? Tasked with the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness, upkeep, and performing pre-operational checks on vehicles.
? Tasked with maintaining the safety and security of delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and collected funds at all times.
? Retrieve product returns from customers, including new items, warranty issues, core exchanges, and complete the necessary return paperwork.
? Ensure that store management is informed of any customer concerns or unique requests promptly.
? Report any vehicle maintenance requirements, accidents, or damage to the store manager without delay.
? Fill up the fuel tank and properly lock and secure the vehicle at the conclusion of the business day.
? Adhere to the regulations for logging your time as per the company's policy.
? Additional responsibilities may include providing customer support, maintaining cleanliness, replenishing and arranging merchandise, displaying products attractively, completing tasks outside the usual scope, managing returned items, verifying and storing incoming inventory, and so forth.
? Willing to help customers, operate as a cashier, and participate in merchandising activities as required by the business, like answering phones, handling sales, and providing service
? Any other tasks that are required will be assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:
? Skill in swiftly aligning alphanumeric sequences.
? Proficient interpersonal communication capabilities.
? Capability to adeptly respond to varying delivery scenarios with agility.
? The driving record needs to satisfy the benchmarks established within the organization's 14/18-point evaluation system.
? Meeting the company's driving qualification standards involves having the necessary state-issued driver's license.

Desired:
? Well-versed in the field of car parts.
? Capability to work with additional light store tools.
? Ability to speak several languages, with a particular emphasis on Spanish proficiency.
