Roadside Assistance Driver - Flatbed
About the position
The Roadside Assistance Driver - Flatbed is responsible for providing safe and efficient roadside solutions for AAA members, ensuring positive member experiences while operating a tow or flatbed vehicle. This role involves responding to service requests, performing minor mechanical assistance, towing vehicles when necessary, and promoting AAA products and services. The position requires effective communication skills to handle various member situations and maintain AAA's high service standards.
Responsibilities
Accept calls and respond to Dispatch or members with ETA to destination.

Locate and greet members, addressing their emotional state and providing reassurance.

Assess the safety of the scene upon arrival to ensure safe service delivery.
,
Provide efficient minor mechanical assistance and towing service as needed.
,
Diagnose probable causes of breakdowns through probing questions.
,
Safely tow vehicles following established Club policies and procedures.
,
Maintain service vehicle and equipment in good working order, conducting safety checks.
,
Maintain inventory of tools and products for service calls.
,
Follow traffic and motor vehicle laws to avoid injury and damage.
,
Maintain a professional image of self and vehicle to represent the AAA brand.
,
Safeguard confidential information and follow proper paperwork guidelines.

Promote AAA products and services to members.
,
Work independently with minimal face-to-face contact with the service team.
,
Adapt to work a variety of shifts to cover a 24/7 operation.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
,
At least 21 years of age required.
,
Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting required.
,
Active and valid driver's license issued by only one state or jurisdiction required.
,
DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 year required.
,
Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment.
