About the Unit Our Ludington Hospital OB unit, is an 8 bed unit that had recent renovations done in 2019 to make the layout of the halls more user friendly. We have 3 Labor and Delivery Rooms and 5 Postpartum Rooms. We are well known for our excellent Antepartum, Labor and Deliver and Postpartum Care. We have very low turnover and have 13-15 RN's on the team along with 2 resource Nurse Techs. We are the inpatient OB Unit in Mason County and surrounding counties, so we deliver care to patients from as far north as Cadillac and also serve many patients from Lake and Oceana County. Scope of work Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Qualifications • Associates in Nursing Required • Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) required within 180 Days • Fetal Monitoring Certification required within 2 years How Corewell Health cares for you • Comprehensive benefits package to meet your financial, health, and work/life balance goals.
