RN Clinic - Family Medicine - Hybrid (Remote & 4S Ranch)
About the position Scripps Coastal Medical Center makes it easy and convenient for our community to receive exceptional health care in San Diego. Our primary care physicians and their teams provide annual exams, preventive health screenings, wellness information and diagnostic services for you and your family. With offices throughout San Diego County, our doctors specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology. Some locations also provide rheumatology and orthopedics care. When further specialty care is needed, you have access to an extensive network of medical experts throughout the region. Scripps also provides health education resources, including weight management programs, nutrition and fitness classes, and programs for chronic conditions, such as diabetes. This is a benefited, full-time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5pm with occasional weekend coverage as needed. Hours may vary as needed. The role is hybrid-both on-site at our 4S Ranch clinic and remote. Initial training will be on-site for 2-8 weeks (40 hours/week), with the duration based on training progress. After training, you will work one week on-site followed by four weeks remote. Why join Scripps Health? What you'll do: Primarily indirect patient care (phones, messages) but may provide direct patient care when working on site. Assist patients, staff, and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to the designated patient population. Assist with the leadership of the clinical and clerical staff. Provide direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice. Phone triage and triaging patients who present to the clinic Assist with phone calls and portal messages Documentation in EMR (electronic medical record) Perform nursing tasks within scope of practice. Support OBGYN and work a hybrid of onsite and remote to assist the team as needed. Practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance and be able to delegate tasks appropriately. Requirements • ADN or Nursing Diploma • Highly organized and detail-oriented • CA RN License • BLS through the American Heart Association Nice-to-haves • 2+ years of Adult Medicine experience as an RN • RN experience in Pediatrics and/or OBGYN • Telephone triage experience • Clinic/outpatient experience • Remote work background • Epic EHR proficiency • Microsoft Office Suite familiarity Apply tot his job
