RMC Home Mortgage - Residential Mortgage Underwriter - DE, SAR Required
ā¢ *RMC Home Mortgage, a new construction residential mortgage lender, is looking to fill a full-time DE, SAR Underwriter position. RMC Home Mortgage is a joint venture between Acrisure Mortgage and Maronda Homes. This is a great opportunity for candidates that have current experience and a strong background underwriting FHA and VA loans.
ā¢ *Position Summary:
Mortgage Loan Underwriters underwrite and add loan program required conditions to mortgage applications to ensure that the borrower meets all program/product specifications prior to funding. Underwriters communicate all credit decisions (approval, suspense, denial) to the appropriate individuals within the operations team. Underwriters are charged with upholding fair lending practices and protecting the company by making sound lending decisions while maintaining company production and quality requirements.
ā¢ *Job Responsibilities:
ā¢ Analyze loan files based on program and product specifications
ā¢ Review and analyze credit reports, income documents, appraisal reports, and other relevant information to make sound underwriting decisions.
ā¢ Maintain or exceed production and quality requirements on a monthly basis
ā¢ Maintain expert knowledge of corporate, investor and regulatory guidelines
ā¢ Ensure compliance with all company, federal and state guidelines and lending regulations.
ā¢ Effectively communicate credit decisions and document needs throughout all individuals involved
ā¢ Maintain and record all credit risk activities
ā¢ *Requirements:
ā¢ Certification required: DESAR
ā¢ 5+ years' CURRENT stable experience Underwriting FHA and VA Residential Mortgage Loans.
ā¢ Encompass experience strongly preferred
ā¢ Associates degree preferred
ā¢ *Skills and Abilities:**
ā¢ Possess strong government underwriting background
ā¢ Manual and AUS underwriting skills
ā¢ Ability to underwrite files according to FNMA/FHLMC standards and comply with FHA guidelines
ā¢ Excellent analytical, attention to detail and decision-making skills
ā¢ Ability to work independently with little supervision
ā¢ Highly motivated and takes initiative
ā¢ Strong written and verbal communication skills
