About the position

The Risk Analyst (2nd Shift) plays a critical role in protecting firm and client capital by monitoring real-time trading activity, enforcing margin and liquidation policies, and ensuring adherence to applicable exchange, NFA, and CFTC standards. The analyst works closely with trading, risk, and compliance teams to maintain accurate visibility of account exposure and support sound operational decision-making.

Responsibilities
β€’ Monitor customer accounts intraday for margin sufficiency, liquidation risk, and abnormal trading behavior.
β€’ Identify high-risk activity, including concentration, rapid drawdowns, or repeated margin breaches.
β€’ Escalate client risk concerns promptly to the Trade Desk Manager or Risk Leadership.
β€’ Support intervention workflows before forced liquidation when appropriate.
β€’ Partner with the Trade Desk on live risk events, client distress, and urgent position management.
β€’ Ensure clear handoff between Risk and execution teams during fast-moving market conditions.
β€’ Assist in documenting trade-related incidents, errors, or platform disruptions impacting client outcomes.
β€’ Support daily risk reporting and review routines aligned with firm risk thresholds and Plus500 parameters.
β€’ Track aggregate exposure across client accounts, including product and asset-class concentration.
β€’ Monitor correlated trading behavior across accounts during volatile market events.
β€’ Generate daily risk reports and exposure metrics for leadership review.
β€’ Contribute to the development of automated dashboards and KPIs.
β€’ Support cross-department initiatives for risk automation.
β€’ Follow written risk monitoring procedures and escalation standards.
β€’ Support recordkeeping and communications retention requirements (CFTC/NFA expectations).
β€’ Participate in continuous improvement of the Client Risk Monitoring SOP as the program matures.
β€’ Contribute to exam-ready documentation and internal control discipline.

Requirements
β€’ 2–4 years’ experience in risk, brokerage operations, or trade supervision (futures, FX, or equities).
β€’ Knowledge of CFTC / NFA margin and recordkeeping rules.
β€’ Familiarity with risk platforms (e.g., T4, CQG, TT, or similar).
β€’ Strong Excel and analytical skills; able to reconcile large data sets accurately.
β€’ Calm decision-making and judgment under pressure.
β€’ Excellent written and verbal documentation habits.
β€’ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
β€’ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to solve practical problems via a logical, analytic approach.
β€’ Ability to multitask. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work under dynamic schedule constraints and consistently meet deliverable timelines.

Nice-to-haves
β€’ Experience with FCM risk or trade surveillance systems.
β€’ Familiarity with SQL or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
β€’ Prior exposure to automated risk alerting or incident-tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Slack workflows).
