Position Overview:

As a Customer Service Representative – Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and customers, responding to their inquiries and service requests in a timely and accurate manner. You will work collaboratively with our service delivery teams to identify opportunities to improve our services and ensure customer satisfaction. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build trust and rapport with our customers, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:


Respond to incoming inquiries and service requests from patients, employees, providers, vendors, and others via phone, email, web portal, and other channels.
Provide accurate and timely information to customers, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant regulations and policies.
Work collaboratively with our service delivery teams to identify opportunities to improve our services and ensure customer satisfaction.
Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers to identify additional ways to be of service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Help foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized.


Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:


High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
1 year of experience in customer service, medical reception, or a related field (e.g., Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, call center, or related customer service experience)
1 year of experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, electronic mail, and information systems or database programs
Knowledge of processes within one or more of the following functions: Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, Revenue Cycle Customer Billing
Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives


Preferred Qualifications:

Medical and healthcare experience
Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software
Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant regulations and policies
