Optavise, a CNO Financial Group Company, is seeking a visionary Director, Development to lead the development of multiple platforms and applications. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain a wide range of solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business and customers.
As a Director, Development, you will direct and manage a team of Developers, Project Managers, Engineers, and other professionals, driving the development and implementation of technology that aligns with Optavise's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze existing technology for efficiency and accuracy, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with project managers and leaders to measure system and resource use, ensuring optimal allocation.
Develop or upgrade technology to support business growth and customer needs.
Work closely with Delivery, Marketing, and Product teams to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
Ensure quality control by establishing technical standards and guidelines.
Advise Optavise leadership on timely investments in new technology.
Communicate the outcomes of implementing new technology to internal and external stakeholders.
Work with customers to understand their needs and preferences, driving product improvements.
Foster a high-performing research and development team.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments, anticipating emerging trends and opportunities.
Prepare cost-benefit analyses for IT workflow changes, ensuring informed decision-making.
Suggest hardware and software upgrades to improve operations, consistency, and budgetary success.
Oversee the management of Optavise software product offerings, from requirements definition to maintenance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of equivalent experience.
7-10 years of experience in solution architecture, software development, and benefits administration, including at least 5 years of management experience.
