As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll join a talented team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts who are passionate about harnessing the power of data to drive business success. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy scalable data systems and pipelines using Scala, Python, and other programming languages. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that meet those needs. Develop and maintain ETL pipelines in big data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) to ensure data quality and integrity. Implement Lakehouse engineering principles to create a unified data platform that supports data warehousing, data lakes, and data science. Work with data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts to design, execute, and deliver effective data solutions that meet business requirements. Maintain detailed documentation of work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance. Ensure high functional proficiency and quality of solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our clients (Data Science, Data Analytics teams). Participate in agile/scrum practices to ensure team health and collaboration. Identify and resolve technical issues, and develop creative solutions to complex problems. Engage with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements. Requirements: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Strong algorithmic thinking skills and experience with data modeling and data warehousing. Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries to extract data and build performant datasets. Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS (S3, EMR, EC2), and big data technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, and Databricks. Strong programming skills in Scala, Python, and Java, with experience in data engineering and data science. Experience with data integration toolsets, such as Apache Beam, and data pipelines with Databricks. Knowledge of Scrum and agile methodologies, with experience in collaborative team environments. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. Experience with machine learning and data science frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn. Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles, with experience in data validation and data cleansing. Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Azure, Google Cloud, and IBM Cloud. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
