The Revenue Cycle Coder is responsible for understanding billing requirements for all payers, ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable, and providing expertise in coding compliance and training.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for understanding the billing requirements for all payersEnters and approves data into the Management Information system according to appropriate guidelines to ensure that the STRIDE accounts receivable is accurateAnalyzes provider documentation to assure the appropriate Evaluation & Management coding levels are assigned the correct CPT or CDT codeProvides expertise to the billing staff in addressing appeals for denials for incorrect diagnoses for services performedCompletes audits of provider encounters to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursementServes as coding reviewer to support the charge posting processExecute daily workload within full compliance of state and federal billing regulationsAccept charges, review, analyze, and code diagnostic and procedural information that determines Medicaid, Medicare, CHP+, and private insurance paymentsThe position will require review of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT, CDT and HCPCS coding for procedures performed by providersCDT and HCPCS coding for procedures performed by providersConducts periodic Quality Assurance Processes for Revenue Cycle Coders to ensure accuracy and policy complianceSummarize and reports on the trends of provider documentationProvides initial and ongoing training to provide staff regarding coding complianceDevelop training materials for ongoing use by provider staff, and Patient Accounts staffPerform other duties as assignedSkillsHigh School Diploma or GEDCPC-A, RHIA, RHIT, CCA and/or CCS certificationCPC and/or CRCBilingual SpanishBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coveragePaid time off (PTO) and holidaysHealth Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA), including dependent care options401(k) with matchingWork-life balanceNHSC Loan RepaymentTuition reimbursement and/or Continuing Medical Education (CME)No nights, weekends, or major holidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Discounts on top attractions, hotels, moreCompany OverviewSTRIDE Community Health Center is a nonprofit organization whose vision is individuals empowered to live the lives they want.
