Revenue Accountant I

They are seeking a Revenue Accountant I who will focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition, GAAP financials, and contract accounting while ensuring compliance and efficiency in revenue management systems.ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparation of the monthly financial package, including key metrics, financial results, and variance reportingApply ASC 606 standards to revenue recognition across diverse contracts and arrangementsEnsure compliance with GAAP financial reporting requirementsPerform MEA allocations and account for complex revenue streamsManage contract accounting, including accounting upon delivery and milestone-based recognitionPrepare and post journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenueReconcile and maintain the balance sheet accounts related to revenue and contractsWork extensively with Sage Intacct, including the contracts module, to manage revenue processesTrack and report on long-term and short-term deferred revenue balancesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Operations) to ensure contract terms are properly reflected in accountingSupport month-end and quarter-end close processes, including revenue reconciliations and reportingAssist with audits and provide documentation to support revenue recognition policies and practicesSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or relevant work experience1-3 years of experience in revenue accounting or related roleStrong knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP financialsExperience with MEA allocations and complex contract structuresSolid understanding of deferred revenue (short-term and long-term) and unbilled revenueIntegration and configuration experience is a plusCPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred but not requiredProficiency in Sage Intacct (contracts module experience strongly preferred)BenefitsVisionMedicalLifeDental401KExcellent Medical PlanDental & Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceShort & Long Term DisabilityVacation TimePaid HolidaysProfessional DevelopmentRetirement PlanCompany OverviewOneStream Software is an independent software company that develops a financial planning and analysis software.
