Revenue Accountant
Veracross is a SaaS-based School Information Systems provider focused on independent K-12 schools worldwide. They are seeking a Revenue Accountant to manage revenue recognition processes, analyze billing data, and support financial reporting and audits. Responsibilities Review customer contracts for application of appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 Create and maintain complex revenue recognition contract templates which capture total contract value, billings, the standard selling price allocation and revenue recognized Analyze billing and software go-live data to support proper revenue recognition Prepare revenue journal entries and deferred revenue balance sheet account reconciliations and rollforwards and analysis of unusual or significant changes Assist with updating and maintaining the revenue recognition policy memo and the standalone selling price analysis Assist with the improvement of revenue recognition processes and controls through cross-functional interactions with sales and implementation teams Support Financial Planning and Analysis team with revenue forecasting and delivering revenue metrics and reporting Support the maintenance of accurate customer product and contract records in Salesforce CPQ Support the annual external audit Skills Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration 1+ years experience in revenue accounting, audit or general accounting preferred Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to perform functions like V-lookup and Pivot Table, as well as ability to understand more complex formulas Working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines Excellent communication skills; able to deliver messages effectively both verbally and in writing Benefits 3 weeks of vacation per year 14 paid holidays per year (including the week off between Christmas and New Year's Eve) 56 Hours of paid sick leave annually Top tier benefits -Medical, Dental & Vision (Blue Cross Blue Shield & EyeMed) Veracross LLC Fidelity 401(k) Plan - Managed by Sentinel Benefits Company Overview Information and Learning Management Software for Independent Schools It was founded in 2002, and is headquartered in Wakefield, Massachusetts, USA, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
