SUMMARY Hands-on day-to-day management of the accounting functions for operating companies of Transit Technologies LLC. Responsibilities include Accounting, Reporting, , Billing, Accounts Receivable, Revenue and Deferred Revenue. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (either company-wide or for certain of the company’s subsidiaries): · ASC 606 Compliance: Maintain expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition guidelines, ensuring accurate reporting of revenue under both ASC 606 frameworks as required. · · ASC 605 Compliance: · Software Industry Focus: Apply revenue recognition principles specifically tailored to the software industry, including revenue allocation, Standalone Selling Price (SSP) and other industry-specific considerations. · SSP Allocations: Oversee the determination and allocation of Standalone Selling Prices (SSP) for contracts including multiple performance obligations, ensuring consistency and accuracy in revenue allocation. · Multiple Performance Obligation Arrangements: Analyze complex contractual agreements to identify performance obligations and allocate transaction prices appropriately in accordance with MCA guidelines. · Financial Reporting: Prepare and review revenue-related financial statements and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) regulations. · Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls related to revenue recognition processes, ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial data. · Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Legal, and Product Development to review contracts, assess revenue implications, and resolve revenue recognition issues. · Audit Support: Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue recognition processes and transactions. · Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in revenue recognition processes, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. · Active pursuit or possession of CPA certification preferred. · Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably within the software industry. · In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 · Experience with SSP allocations, multiple performance obligation arrangements and revenue recognition complexities. · Previous experience in a Big 4 accounting firm highly desirable. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively both verbally and in writing across teams. · Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
