Retirement Consultant

As a Retirement Consultant, you will support clients with their retirement needs by providing recommendations and investment advice to help them prepare for retirement.ResponsibilitiesProactively call existing Group Retirement Savings plan members (Sun Life clients) who are at or approaching retirement to discuss retirement income options to meet their stage of lifeProvide investment advice to clients, through consultation related to their financial needs, including savings, and retirement incomePartner with clients to be ‘retirement ready’ through the use of financial planning toolsKeep abreast of product changes, understand new products that come to market, keep a pulse on industry changes and competitor productsContribute to sales targets by meeting or exceeding objectivesSkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to quickly build rapport and relationships with clients over the phoneStrong listening skills and the ability to probe by asking questions to understand needsSelf motivated and can work independentlyBilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwideValid and active Life Insurance License (LLQP) or Insurance of person license in Quebec (1a)Minimum of 1-3 years of related sales experience in the financial services industry is preferredExperience selling wealth products over the phoneCompletion of a college or university degreeCertified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or Financial planner designation (IQPF)Canadian Securities Course (CSC)Canadian Investment Fund Course (IFIC)BenefitsMedical, dental, life, critical illness and disability insuranceLumino Health Virtual CareRobust defined contribution pension planMatching Stock Ownership and Savings Programs3 weeks paid vacation to start.
