The Role - Retail Banker I As a Retail Banker I, you will be an integral part of our customer relationship team. You will work closely with customers to understand their financial goals and provide tailored solutions to help them achieve success. Your primary responsibilities will include: Delivering legendary customer experiences by providing financial expertise and consultative advice Identifying customer needs and offering tailored solutions to help them achieve their financial goals Building long-lasting relationships with customers and providing exceptional customer service Utilizing customer relationship management tools to proactively identify customer solutions and lead-focused outbound sales activities Evaluating issues, errors, and problems based on practices and existing precedents or procedures Explaining detailed and/or complicated information to customers and team members Participating in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities to deliver on our unexpectedly human promise Engaging in conversations with customers about loan products and facilitating the application intake process Key Responsibilities Customer Accountabilities Deliver legendary customer experiences by providing financial expertise and consultative advice Understand and support the Bank's Customer Service Strategy Build trust with customers through educational content and tools Provide consultative support and advocate for customers with proactive insights and recommendations Establish and nurture customer relationships by consistently displaying product knowledge and actively listening to customer needs Shareholder Accountabilities Promote the full suite of products, sales, services, and banking capabilities Understand and apply operating policies and procedures Ensure documentation is accurate and properly reflects client/business intentions Ensure necessary due diligence to support the accuracy of all customer transactions/activities Employee/Team Accountabilities Participate fully as a member of the team and support a positive work environment Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the Bank, both internally and/or externally Requirements and Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required 1+ year of related experience in banking or a related field Teller experience preferred Cross-trained to take customer transactions Skills and Competencies Superior customer service skills Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work Sound judgment in decision-making and effective problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Licenses and Certifications Notary License preferred Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry) What We Offer Competitive Compensation and Benefits At TD, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package that reflects our commitment to our colleagues' well-being and success.
