About the position

The Retail Associate Trainee position at Valley National Bank is an entry-level role focused on assisting clients with routine banking transactions while adhering to the bank's quality service standards and operational procedures. Responsibilities
• Perform all transactions required by customers using appropriate technology.

• Process deposits and withdrawals, including loan payments and savings.

• Sell money orders and cashiers' checks.

• Process or balance individual cash boxes and complete necessary office work.

• File signature cards and complete end-of-day proof.
,
• Maintain and balance a cash box.

• Utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment and Cash Recycling machines.

• Support customers in using Coin Machines.
,
• Meet customer expectations and achieve service quality standards.

• Maintain knowledge of the Bank's Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures.

• Participate in and complete required training and development experiences.
