Now Hiring: Part-Time and Full-Time Servers – Serve Up Great Experiences!
Embassy Suites Rockford Riverfront is looking for friendly, energetic, and service-minded Part-Time and Full-Time Servers to join our team. If you love creating great dining experiences, enjoy engaging with guests, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to meet you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Welcoming guests with a warm greeting and presenting the menu.
• Informing guests of daily specials and any menu changes.
• Recommending food and beverages while upselling when possible.
• Taking orders accurately on order pads or a handheld POS system.
• Delivering food and drinks promptly while ensuring a great dining experience.
• Responding quickly to guest requests and ensuring satisfaction.
• Properly opening and pouring wine at the tableside.
• Handling payments, issuing receipts, and balancing transactions at the end of the shift.
• Assisting with light cleaning, restocking, and maintaining a tidy dining area.
• Working closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Understanding and promoting hotel products and services.
What We’re Looking For:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in a server or customer service role preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
• A team player who values guest satisfaction.
• Some familiarity with basic cooking skills is a plus.
