It's true, you can work less and make more than a staff appraiser at an appraisal management company. We are not an AMC or a network of independently managed appraisers but an appraisal firm. Responsibilities: · Complete real estate appraisals that are compliant with Federal and State laws, as well as being done in accordance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) in a timely fashion while meeting turnaround time requirements. · Inspecting and measuring residential properties to identify physical attributes that impact value and marketability. · Applying knowledge and experience or acquiring necessary competency to undertake complex residential appraisal assignments in rural, suburban and urban locations. · Proactive and effective communication with Appraisal Desk staff to minimize delays or problems in the appraisal process. · Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing clear and comprehensive appraisal reports. · Collaborate with team members to continuously improve processes and deliverables. Qualifications: · Certified Residential Appraiser credential in good standing. Recently Certified is great! · HUD-approved appraiser preferred but this won’t make or break it! · Superb communication and interpersonal abilities. · Have excellent analytical and critical reasoning skills to resolve complex residential appraisal challenges and actively employ independent judgment. · Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning. · Empowers those below and around to make well-informed decisions. · Purposeful and goal-driven. · Confident but not cocky.
