​​Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspector​

Work Setting: In Person (All in office/field) Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspector for our Fort Myers office. Key Responsibilities: Review and interpret project drawings, specifications and work plans to verify contractor compliance Conduct on-site observation, monitoring, inspection, and evaluation of construction activities Verify and track work in accordance with approved shop drawing submittals Observe contractor performance and compliance with safety requirements Prepare daily reports, verify material quantities, Time and Material (T&M) records and review contractor pay applications Monitor construction contractor’s adherence to project schedule and sequence of activities related to daily field observations Maintain project redline and as-built drawings Coordinate and communicate effectively with the CM Project team, multi-discipline engineering teams, contractors and third-party inspection/testing firms Assist and coordinate with project start-up, testing checkout and training activities Maintain construction inspection and testing related documentation as necessary Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following: Minimum 5 years of construction / construction observation experience Familiarity with construction methods typical of civil, structural, mechanical and/or electrical engineering work Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, organizational and problem-solving skills Experience working on and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Ability to travel to projects in the local area as needed Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related PC software packages used on construction projects. Microsoft Excel and Procore Construction Management Software will be utilized daily.
