About the position The Research Compliance Specialist III at the University of Pittsburgh plays a crucial role in overseeing compliance for the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development (BARDA) study. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and institutional policies, particularly in the context of clinical trials. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining compliance databases, conducting training, and assisting with compliance investigations, thereby ensuring the integrity of research activities. Responsibilities ā¢ Serve as the primary point of contact for research sites. ā¢ Maintain the study database for monitoring and reporting purposes. ā¢ Assist with compliance investigations at research sites. ā¢ Oversee regulatory liaison for all clinical sites, coordinating centers, and data management centers. ā¢ Perform grant approval reviews and assist with regulatory reviews. ā¢ Complete investigator training sessions and develop approval guidelines to ensure institutional compliance with all regulations. Requirements ā¢ Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. ā¢ Minimum of 3 years of experience in research compliance or a related area. ā¢ Ability to follow University of Pittsburgh and HIPAA compliance policies. ā¢ Experience in medical and drug development. Nice-to-haves ā¢ Experience with clinical trial oversight. ā¢ Familiarity with regulatory compliance in research settings.
