Oxford Economics is a leading economic forecasting and consulting firm, looking to hire a Research Associate in their Thought Leadership team in New York City. The role involves assisting in research and analysis, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating projects to produce insightful publications.ResponsibilitiesAssist project managers in conducting the necessary desk research to ensure the accuracy, currency, and comprehensiveness of the information in our published reportsHelp to draft surveys related to sponsored research projectsReview and quality-assure primary research data (e.g., survey responses)Contribute to survey analysis to develop data insightsAssist in building charts, graphs, dashboards, and data visualizationsAssist editors in checking quotes, facts, and data in reportsRespond to client data queries, carrying out investigations as requiredWork with survey suppliers throughout research projects, from specifying requirements through to data deliveryManage survey fieldwork, including regular progress updates and receipt of interim and final deliverablesWork with other team members to specify project data presentation and analysis requirementsManage supplier performance and escalate any issues as requiredManage project and supplier documentation, including proposals, contracts, data files and client deliverablesHelp coordinate Thought Leadership projects with external contributors (e.g., expert interviews)Put relevant thought leadership materials on our corporate websiteWork with other team members to ensure proper project time recording and accurate financial recordsSkills0-1 years of professional experience, excluding internshipsBachelor's degreeAwareness and interest in business, economic, and social trendsHighly numerate, with some research and data analysis experience an advantageAbility to manipulate and analyze data in Excel, Word, and PowerPointWriting ability, presenting a convincing argument based on evidenceCopyediting and proofreading skillsStrong organizational and administrative skills, with experience of supplier and project administration an advantageDetail-oriented and conscientiousSelf-starter, with can-do attitudeAbility to hit deadlines and finish assignments quicklyFlexible, able to react quickly to changing requirementsAble to take directionAbility to thrive in a hybrid working environment (at least 2 days in the office per week)Team playerInterest in the challenges facing global businessUnderstanding of how to create compelling presentations and infographicsCompany OverviewOxford Economics is a research firm specialized in economic research.
