A.J. Drexel Autism Institute is seeking a Research Fellow.
This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.
Essential Functions
Job Overview: Dr. McGhee Hassrick, from the Life Course Outcomes Program of the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute is recruiting a research fellow to conduct community engaged social network research with autistic people, their families and network community and service supporters.

Candidates will be working at the Drexel Autism Institute, which is a multidisciplinary institute emphasizing public health science approaches. The candidate will lead community engagement in research and assist in designing, developing, conducting, and communicating research often with a wide range of collaborators, including community members.
The Life Course Outcomes (LCO) Research Program, within the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute, is seeking a Part Time Research Fellow to lead the management of research studies designed to investigate the impact of social networks on outcomes from autistic people, their families and communities across different life stages.
The research fellow will provide leadership for community-partnered participatory research (CPPR) across multiple grants by co-leading community meetings, workshops, and dissemination activities while supporting the administration of CPPR projects.
The research fellow will collaborate closely with the research team to design research studies, contribute to grant applications, and, as needed, participate in data collection and analysis while maintaining regular communication about project progress.
Responsibilities also include coordinating research tasks, refining lab procedures with the lab director, and supporting effective planning and management of research projects. In addition, the position plays a key role in disseminating findings through manuscript writing, publications, social media, and presentations at virtual events, webinars, and conferences.
The research fellow will also provide support in developing and seeking funding for research projects.
These studies have the potential to generate new evidence on the impact of partnering with autistic people in research to address disparities for autistic people at different life stages. The research fellow position is part time with benefits position and will be based in the Life Course Outcomes research program at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute (AJDAI).
Provide lab leadership for community partnered participatory research (CPPR) activities across multiple grants, including co-leading community meetings, conferences and workshops, supporting administration of CPPR activities, co-developing dissemination materials
Collaborate with the research team to develop research projects and apply for funding
Participate in data collection and data analysis, when needed. Attend project planning meetings and communicate with the Lab team about progress with research tasks. Consult with the lab director to continually refine procedures and policies for the planning and management of research projects
Coordinate research project tasks through a variety of dissemination and outreach activities including producing publications, managing social media, and organizing or presenting at virtual events or webinars.
Participate in manuscript writing and meetings to support the dissemination of research findings.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate
Minimum of 3 years of experience.

Additional InformationThis position is classified as Exempt, grade K Compensation for this grade ranges from $54,630.00to $81,940.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
