Research Assistant
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Content & Research Assistant to support research, content development, directory management, and outreach initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys conducting online research, has strong written communication skills, and can work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and identify relevant startups, founders, entrepreneurs, organizations, grant opportunities, and ecosystem developments for content features and directory listings.
* Conduct outreach and follow up with founders, organizations, and stakeholders to obtain information for features and directory inclusion.
* Verify information through company websites, LinkedIn profiles, publications, and other credible sources.
* Create concise content summaries and profiles for startups, founders, organizations, and ecosystem opportunities.
* Design and publish social media content using Canva in line with brand guidelines.
* Research and maintain accurate records for company directories, databases, and featured content.
* Monitor industry trends, funding opportunities, and ecosystem developments to identify relevant content opportunities.
* Ensure all research and content produced is accurate, well-organized, and submitted within agreed timelines.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in research, content, communications, marketing, administration, or a related field.
* BSc in any related field
* Strong internet research and information verification skills.
* Experience creating social media content using Canva.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently and meet weekly deliverables.
* Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and other online collaboration tools.
* Reliable internet connection
