Research Analyst, Massachusetts Research & Education Collaborative

Remote Full-time
At Kindbridge Research Institute (KRI), we are pioneering work in a space that’s still taking shape—gambling-related mental health. As a non-profit at the intersection of research, behavioral health, and community well-being, KRI is leading efforts to better understand gambling behaviors and their impact on vulnerable populations such as veterans, service members, and young adults. Through partnerships with researchers, universities, and public health systems, we deliver data-driven solutions and outreach strategies that promote awareness, prevention, and access to care.

We're seeking a passionate Research Analyst who is driven by the opportunity to use research as a force for positive change. As part of the Massachusetts Research & Education Collaborative (REC), you'll support research, surveillance, and knowledge translation efforts that help reduce gambling-related harms across Massachusetts. Working alongside researchers, public health leaders, and community partners, you'll transform data into actionable insights that inform prevention, treatment, policy, and public health initiatives focused on gambling, gaming, and emerging digital dependencies.

This is an exciting opportunity for a public health professional who is passionate about applying research to real-world challenges and improving health outcomes for communities across Massachusetts.

What You'll Do:

Conduct literature reviews, evidence scans, environmental scans, and background research on gambling, gaming, digital dependencies, and related public health topics

Support the development of annual reports, landscape analyses, policy briefs, surveillance products, and other research deliverables

Assist with synthesizing, interpreting, and communicating findings from a variety of data sources

Contribute to peer-reviewed manuscripts, conference presentations, technical reports, and other scholarly or applied research products

Translate research findings into accessible materials for policymakers, healthcare providers, community organizations, and public audiences

Create reports, fact sheets, presentations, infographics, and other knowledge-sharing resources

Support emerging research priorities and special projects identified through stakeholder engagement, surveillance findings, and public health needs

Maintain research resources, project documentation, references, dissemination materials, and tracking systems

Collaborate with researchers, subject matter experts, academic partners, and community stakeholders to advance statewide research and public health initiatives

Support stakeholder engagement, knowledge-sharing activities, and dissemination efforts across Massachusetts

What You'll Bring:

Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Communication, Behavioral Health, or a related field

Strong research, writing, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences

Experience conducting literature reviews, research synthesis, public health analysis, or developing research reports and policy briefs

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Familiarity with health equity frameworks and working with diverse communities

Interest in behavioral health, addiction, gambling-related harms, health equity, public health surveillance, or digital well-being

Experience working in public health, research, healthcare, nonprofit, or academic settings

Familiarity with data analysis, statistics, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, R, Python, or similar platforms a plus

Work Culture & Values:

Flexible Remote Work: This is a fully remote position, with a preference for candidates based in Massachusetts

Autonomous & Impact-Driven: We believe in giving our team members the trust, tools, and support to own their work

Collaborative & Innovative: You’ll be part of a dynamic, mission-driven team that values open communication, learning, and experimentation

This is more than a project—it’s a platform to grow your career, explore new territory, and make a tangible impact. Come join us at KRI!
Wage or salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
