The ideal Spanish candidate for this job can provide tutoring for reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, composition, study skills, and other Spanish language content to students of middle school and high school grade levels.
Must have a college degree and experience teaching / tutoring Spanish. Must be familiar with the Texas TEKS and State mandated requirements. Must be dependable and well organized.
What do we look for in a tutor?
Bilingual with excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, and a friendly personality
Academic background in the subject area-degree or diploma
Minimum of 1 year of experience in teaching and/or tutoring at higher grade levels
Ability to personalize lessons for each student
Must be comfortable doing in-home tutoring
Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel up to 30 minutes to student location
Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
Location: Pearland, Friendswood and neighboring areas
Job Type: Part-time, Contract
Tutors are independent contractors and have the freedom to use their own teaching styles and methods.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rates depending on qualification and experience.
Schedule: Flexible, mostly weekday evenings and weekends
Expected salary: $20 - 25 per hour
