Homeward is establishing a new Repairs Pricing team and is seeking Repairs Scoping Specialists to play a critical role in its development and success. This position will be responsible for reviewing residential home inspection reports, identifying deficiencies and required repairs, and producing accurate, detailed, and well-organized repair scopes and pricing. Reporting into the Repairs organization, this role will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to support timely and informed decision-making.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of U.S. residential construction and repair costs, exceptional attention to detail, and an interest in growing within a fast-paced, scaling organization.

What We’re Looking For:

A detail-driven professional who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
A proactive and positive team member who values collaboration and accountability
Someone eager to learn, improve, and help build a new function from the ground up
A growth-minded individual interested in long-term career development at Homeward

Key Responsibilities:

Review residential home inspection reports, photos, and supporting documentation to identify defects, safety concerns, and required repairs
Develop comprehensive repair scopes that clearly define what is needed to resell the home.
Create accurate and consistent repair cost estimates using U.S. residential pricing standards, market data, and internal guidelines
Ensure repair scopes and pricing are thorough, clearly documented, and easy to understand for internal/external stakeholders
Partner cross-functionally with Repairs, Operations, Maintenance, and other internal teams to align on repair strategies, cost assumptions, and timelines.
Respond to questions and provide clarification regarding repair scopes, pricing, and assumptions as needed.
Track and organize repair data to support reporting, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to the development and refinement of pricing standards, templates, tools, and processes as the team scales
Maintain a high level of accuracy, consistency, and quality across all estimates and documentation

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of U.S. residential homes, construction methods, and common repair practices
Experience in repair scoping, estimating, pricing, inspections, construction, and/or a related field
Ability to interpret inspection reports and translate technical findings into clear, actionable repair scopes
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and cross-functionally
Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, evolving environment with changing priorities
Value-Driven Employee Experience
THE GOLDEN RULE. It’s simple: Treat others the way we want to be treated. Whether we’re dealing with colleagues or customers, we don’t prioritize money or growth over people, and we practice empathy at every opportunity.
CALM FOCUS. We work in tech and build solutions for real estate. Both are fast-paced and stressful industries. But by focusing on the larger objective rather than rushing from one task to the next, we can create solutions our customers love.
ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM. Big problems require big solutions. We look at our customers’ experiences holistically and recognize that solving them requires collaboration across teams and our three affiliate companies — Homeward, Homeward Mortgage and Homeward Title.
