Renewable Energy Project Manager, Solar & Wind Integration

Our client, a leader in sustainable energy solutions, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the integration of solar and wind power projects. This role will be based out of our **Minneapolis, Minnesota, US** office and will operate on a hybrid model, offering a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of renewable energy projects, from initial planning and feasibility studies through to construction, commissioning, and handover. This includes defining project scope, developing detailed project plans, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring all projects meet stringent quality and safety standards. You will work closely with engineering teams, procurement specialists, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution. Key responsibilities involve identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies, managing stakeholder communications, and reporting on project progress to senior management. A strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, grid integration challenges, and relevant permitting processes is essential. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of project management experience specifically within the renewable energy sector. PMP certification is a plus. You should possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for advancing clean energy initiatives. This hybrid role requires you to be present in the Minneapolis office for approximately 2-3 days per week, with the remaining days offering remote work flexibility. Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of renewable energy projects, from concept to completion. Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and track progress against them. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction. Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies. Liaise with utility companies, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Ensure project compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. Prepare and present project status reports to management. Oversee the integration of solar and wind energy systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of project management experience in renewable energy. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. Strong knowledge of solar and wind energy technologies and grid integration. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively. Familiarity with project management software and methodologies. PMP certification is a plus.
