Position description The UCLA Department of History seeks applicants for a pool of qualified lecturers to teach lower and upper division undergraduate courses in various fields of history, should an opening arise. Screening of applicants is ongoing; the number of positions varies by quarter. The department invites candidates to apply who are qualified to teach the following potential courses in Middle Eastern history: HIST 105A: Survey of Middle East, 500 to Present: 500 to 1300 HIST 187F: Variable Topics Historiography Proseminar: Near East other topics as needed by the department The department is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students from a diverse background and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students.
