This role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to think quickly under pressure. The dispatcher will work closely with drivers, clients, and logistics teams to optimize routes, manage schedules, and address any issues... that arise during transit.
Key Responsibilities
 Coordinate truck drivers schedules and routes.
 Plan and optimize routes for efficiency.
 Communicate with drivers and provide route updates.
 Serve as the point of contact for clients on delivery status.
 Resolve issues related to delays, breakdowns, or weather.
 Monitor driver progress via GPS tracking systems.
 Ensure compliance with trucking regulations and safety standards.
 Maintain accurate dispatch records and trip details.
 Minimize logistics costs and downtime.
 Manage emergency situations like accidents or breakdowns.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
 Experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation management.
 Strong communication and organizational skills.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
 Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and communication tools.
 Knowledge of trucking regulations, hours-of-service laws, and safety compliance.
 Ability to multitask and manage multiple drivers and schedules simultaneously.
 High level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
