JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Wilkes-Barre is accepting applicants for a Part Time Math Tutor for Student Support Services , a federally funded TRiO grant program. Minimal Bachelor's degree preferred Master?s Degree in Math or math related field. Responsibilities/Expectations 10 hours of tutoring per week during the fall and spring semesters Ability to provide comprehensive math tutoring to a population of primarily first generation college students; including college algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics Tracking of student?s progress in math courses and periodic presentations of workshops to college students Record keeping of tutoring contacts required Excellent communication skills The academic year begins in late August and ends the first week in May The Pennsylvania State University is committed to and accountable for advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability in all of its forms.
