The total rewards package for this role includes a competitive salary.   Job title: Pre-K Counts Substitute Teacher and Substitute Instructional Aide Company: Mechanicsburg Area School District Job description : The Recreation Department of the Mechanicsburg Area School District is seeking individuals interested in serving as a Substitute Pre-K Teacher OR as a Substitute Instructional Aide in our Pre-K Counts Classrooms in the absence of the regular classroom teacher or aide, for the 2023/2024 School Year. Exact building to be determined. Qualifications: Teacher: A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; or An Early Childhood Education or PreK-4 Teaching Certification. Instructional Aide: Completed at least 2 years of full-time postsecondary study or the equivalent; or Possesses an associate's degree or higher, or Ability to meet a rigorous standard of qualify and demonstration of knowledge through a formal state of local academic assessment or possession by the Aide of a Child Development Associate's (CDA) certificate Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing high-quality, standards-based Pre-K instruction to a 3 year old or 4 year old preschool classroom as per the teacher's plans. Responsible for encouraging creative expression through a variety of methods and materials including crafts, music and movement. Any individual who is to be considered for employment must provide school district officials with a valid Criminal History Record Clearance form, a valid Child Abuse History Clearance form, FBI Clearance, Act 168 form(s), and an I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) form.
