NTT DATA North America is a leading business and technology services provider, and they are seeking a WSS Engineer / Epic Client System Administrator (ECSA) to support and optimize the infrastructure for their Epic ecosystem. The role involves managing Epic server components, monitoring performance, ensuring security compliance, and collaborating with various teams to support clinical operations and IT initiatives.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain Epic server components including Hyperspace, Interconnect, web servers, and related middlewareManage Chronicles, Cache/IRIS configurations, and system-level dependenciesApply patches, upgrades, hotfixes, and coordinate release deployments across environmentsMaintain documentation for system builds, configurations, and operational proceduresMonitor Epic server and application performance (CPU, memory, disk I/O, network throughput)Tune system parameters to improve stability, responsiveness, and uptimeTroubleshoot performance issues, system failures, and infrastructure bottlenecksPartner with application teams to diagnose and resolve endβtoβend performance concernsAdminister and support all Epic environments (PRD, TST, DEV, POC, TRN)Coordinate environment refreshes, migrations, and system cloning activitiesEnsure proper environment isolation, naming conventions, and configuration consistencySupport new module implementations and infrastructure readiness for Epic upgradesImplement Epic system security best practices including authentication, certificates, firewall rules, and access controlsEnsure compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and audit requirementsMonitor and manage audit logs, encryption standards, and privileged accessParticipate in security assessments, risk reviews, and remediation planningWork closely with Epic application teams, network, storage, virtualization, and security teamsProvide operational support for Epic-related incidents, service requests, and change managementParticipate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as neededCollaborate with vendors and Epic technical support to resolve complex issuesSkillsMinimum 10 years of experience as an Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) or equivalent Epic infrastructure roleMinimum 10 years supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, and enterprise-scale Epic environmentsDeep expertise with Epic components such as Hyperspace, Interconnect, MyChart, and system middlewareStrong experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, certificates, and group policyHands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix, VDI)Proficiency with monitoring tools, performance tuning, and troubleshooting methodologiesStrong understanding of healthcare security standards, HIPAA compliance, and audit practicesAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teamsExcellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skillsExperience with Epic Cache/IRIS performance tuningFamiliarity with F5 load balancing, clustering, and high-availability architecturesExperience supporting Epic mobile platforms (Haiku, Canto, Rover)Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and interoperability frameworksEpic certifications in relevant system administration or infrastructure tracksBenefitsIncentive compensation based on individual and/or company performanceCompany benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contributionFlexible spending or health savings accountLife
