The role involves collaborating with HR and business stakeholders to design and optimize solutions, ensuring compliance and operational excellence in payroll processes.ResponsibilitiesAct as the functional SME for Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time TrackingPartner with Payroll, HR, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective, compliant solutionsTranslate business needs into clear functional specifications and system configurationsProvide guidance on system impacts related to regulatory changes, policy updates, and enterprise initiativesConfigure and maintain Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modulesDrive enhancements and continuous improvement across time capture, leave management, and payroll processingEnsure solutions align with business processes, compliance requirements, and user experience expectationsDevelop and execute test strategies, including test plans and scripts, for system updates and enhancementsServe as a Test Lead/Coordinator for initiatives impacting Payroll, Absence, and Time TrackingSupport data mapping, integrations, and conversions related to payroll and workforce time dataCollaborate closely with Payroll teams, HR COEs, and Technology partners to ensure successful deliveryFacilitate discussions to refine requirements, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolutionProvide clear communication on system capabilities, limitations, and impactsMentor junior analysts on Workday functionality, analysis, and delivery best practicesPromote knowledge sharing and help elevate team expertise in Payroll, Absence, and Time TrackingEnsure all configurations and processes adhere to payroll regulations, internal controls, and audit standardsIdentify risks and proactively escalate issues impacting compliance or payroll accuracySupport remediation of audit findings and strengthen controls where neededContribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environmentChampion continuous improvement and innovation within WorkdaySkillsMinimum of 6 years combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics experienceWorkday expertise with 4+ years' experienceWorkday Pro certified in HCM or specialties like Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Benefits, or Talent/PerformanceKnowledge of Workday reporting, calculated fields, and custom validationExperience configuring business processes end-to-endSkilled in designing and testing configurations, validations, and specialty processes in WorkdayCommitment to continuous improvement using agile methodologyStrong organizational skillsExperience in large organizations (10K+ employees)Exceptional analytical skills to understand COE requirements and deliver efficient solutions in WorkdayProven ability in managing medium to large scale technical projectsExcellent customer focus, relationship building, and expectation managementEffective communicator able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesAbility to meet tight deadlines and make decisions under pressure balancing COE needs and functionalityBachelor's degreeProduct Lead in the Workday ecosystemExperience configuring BIRTPrevious Workday implementation for an acquisition or optimizationProven mentoring and leadership capabilitiesCompany OverviewGreat companies have an enduring sense of purpose.
