The Workday People Technology Operations Specialist is responsible for executing and supporting daily Workday operations, ensuring smooth system functionality, accurate data processing, and timely completion of HR transactions.ResponsibilitiesExecute and monitor day-to-day Workday transactions, including hires, job changes, terminations, compensation updates, and organizational changesSupport inbound requests, tickets, and issues, ensuring timely resolution in alignment with service expectationsMonitor business process inboxes and exception reports to proactively identify and resolve issuesPerform routine system checks and validations to ensure data accuracy and process completionAssist data loads (EIBs) following established templates and quality controlsPerform data audits, reconciliations, and corrections to maintain system integrityEnsure accuracy of employee records by validating inputs and identifying discrepanciesAdhere to defined Workday processes and governance standards, including proper sequencing of transactions and required approvalsEnsure all changes follow established controls, documentation, and audit requirementsEscalate system issues or process risks as needed to maintain operational continuitySupport audit requests by providing data extracts, documentation, and validation supportProvide timely updates and status communications for requests and operational activitiesAssist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including coordination of system-related activitiesIdentify trends in operational issues and recommend process improvementsSupport standardization of Workday processes and transaction handlingContribute to documentation improvements (SOPs, job aids) to drive consistency in executionMaintain a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time for all operational tasksSkills1-2 years of experience in Workday HR operationsHands-on experience processing Workday transactions or supporting HR systemsExperience with data entry, data validation, and high-volume transaction processingStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under deadlinesAbility to prioritize and manage multiple operational tasks simultaneouslyExperience with Workday EIBs and mass data uploadsFamiliarity with HR operational processes (hire to retire lifecycle)Experience working in a high-volume, service-driven environmentExposure to audit, compliance, or data governance processesBenefitsCompetitive wagesMedical with telemedicineDental and VisionBasic and Optional Life InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Maternity, Parental, Family CareCommunity Volunteer Time Off12 Paid HolidaysCompany Paid Disability Insurance401k (with employer match)Health Savings Accounts (HSA) with company provided contributionsFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Supplemental InsuranceMental Health and Well-being: Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition ReimbursementWellness programBenefits are subject to generally applicable eligibility, waiting period, contribution, and other requirements and conditionsCompany OverviewVelera provides financial technology and processing solutions for credit unions.
