[Remote] Workday Payroll Consultant

The Workday Payroll Consultant will implement and configure Workday solutions for global customers, build relationships, and provide guidance while supporting junior team members.ResponsibilitiesImplement and configure enterprise-scale Workday solutions for global customer baseBuild relationships with customers, shaping and delivering solutions that are aligned to customer needs, fit for purpose and commercially viableProvide excellent guidance to customers, understanding their business and requirementsSupport junior members of the team and share knowledge with themSkillsAt least 2-3 years of Workday Payroll implementation experienceAt least 2 years configuring Workday Payroll implementation from E2E with the last 3 yearsCertification in Workday United States PayrollThe ability to build complex payroll calculationsExperience with multiple positionsExperience with implementing multiple FEIN'sStrong understanding of state taxes, local taxes, and FLSA calculationsAn understanding of Workday Payroll, US Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence products and the interdependencies with Benefits, Time Tracking and Absence as well as other cross functional capabilitiesExperience with Payroll regulatory requirements (Tax, Garnishments, Common Pay Master), retirement benefits (401K etc.), payroll processing, Unions/Collective Bargaining Agreements and payroll accountingExcellent customer focus, able to assess customer needs, build relationships and manage customer expectationsStrong communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact, credibility and empathy, including in a remote working situationSound ability to formally present to senior Client audiencesStrong commercial awareness and full understanding of project and business dynamicsBroad business and technology understanding and a good awareness of industry trends in either Human Resource management, Financials or Enterprise Resource Planning or PayrollAbility to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of Customer demands and Kainos commercialsAbility to widen and maintain a network of external contactsStrong consulting skills e.g. presenting, leading workshops, demonstrating and explaining complex functionality or solutions to customersWilling to participate in PATT team internal discussions and help where possibleWilling and able to act as a role model within the capability and mentor and/or line manage more junior consultantsWilling to assist AMS with questions related to your subject areaAble to implement improvements in tools and/or processes to help the practiceCommercial understanding of utilization within a services organization and the importance of these targetsAble to rotate through various Workday delivery servicesAble, if required, to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also be required)Workday United States Payroll Certified requiredProfessional qualifications in your area of expertise (Certified Payroll Professional (CPP))Experience in post deployment servicesCompany OverviewKainos provides digital services, software solutions, and IT consulting to help organizations transform operations and customer.
