[Remote] Workday Finance Business Analyst

Unity is seeking a Workday Finance Business Analyst to join their Enterprise Systems team, acting as a key partner to the Finance organization. The role involves managing Workday Financials configuration and support while driving strategic system initiatives that align with Unity's business priorities.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary Workday Financials administrator and day-to-day support contact for the Finance team, triaging and resolving configuration issues, user requests, and system inquiries with a high degree of responsiveness and qualityDiagnose and resolve Workday Financials configuration issues across modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and/or Banking & SettlementPartner with Finance stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutionsSupport and deliver enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements in Workday Financials, from requirements through testing and change managementParticipate in Workday semi-annual release cycles — reviewing release notes, assessing functional impact, coordinating user acceptance testing, and managing deploymentMaintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materialsCollaborate with the broader Enterprise Systems team on cross-functional initiatives involving Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, Integrations, and third-party connected systemsWork with Finance leadership to support strategic priorities such as process automation, reporting improvements, and scalability initiatives tied to company growthAct as a bridge between Finance and IT, ensuring system changes are delivered with appropriate controls, testing rigor, and minimal disruption to financial operationsManage support tickets and project tasks through a defined intake and prioritization process, communicating status and expectations proactively to stakeholdersSkills3-5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration and support experience in a business analyst or functional analyst capacityDeep working knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, with the ability to configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security independentlyDemonstrated ability to support day-to-day Finance operations while simultaneously contributing to project-based work and strategic initiativesStrong stakeholder management skills — you can navigate competing priorities, manage expectations across Finance and IT, and communicate clearly at all levelsExperience conducting business requirements gathering, gap analysis, and writing functional design documentsSolid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts (GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, expense management) and how they translate to Workday configurationHighly organized, with the ability to manage multiple open requests and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative approach to problem-solving, with a track record of building trusted relationships with Finance business partnersWorkday Pro certification in Financial ManagementExperience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirementsFamiliarity with Workday Adaptive Planning and its relationship to the Financials moduleExposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Reporting (composite reports, matrix reports, calculated fields)Experience with tools such as Coupa, Workiva, Concur, or other Finance-adjacent applications that integrate with WorkdayPrior experience supporting a Finance team through a Workday optimization or module expansion projectBenefitsThis role may be eligible for equity awardsParticipation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions)Company OverviewUnity [NYSE: U] offers a suite of tools to create, market, and grow games and interactive experiences across all major platforms from mobile, PC, and console, to extended reality.
