This role is focused on driving revenue growth, managing a high-performing sales team, and ensuring clinical integrity while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.ResponsibilitiesAct as a visible, active “player” in the market - join sales meetings, lead finalist presentations, and serve as the clinical face of the practiceBuild strong partnerships with internal producers, earning trust through clarity, humility, and real expertiseDevelop a repeatable, compelling commercial story for Pharmacy ConsultingIdentify new revenue streams, products, and innovations to expand relevance and market shareP&L ownership, accountable for revenue growth and marginDevelop a long range strategy for pharmacy services, including pricing, products, talent, analytics, and deliveryEnsure clinical rigor across all recommendations, client deliverables, and service modelsOversee quality control, compliance, and alignment with industry best practicesMaintain a high bar for accuracy, clarity, and ethical standardsPartner with cross functional teams in analytics, communications, voluntary benefits, tech, and PE due diligence to enhance cross sell opportunitiesLead, mentor, and elevate a team of clinical pharmacists, analysts, consultants, and client facing specialistsBuild a culture of accountability, curiosity, and pride in resultsDevelop talent pathways and successor readiness within the teamProvide feedback with clarity and careModel the behavior expected - preparation, follow through, and client obsessionServe as a thought leader in pharmacy trends, PBM strategy, specialty trends, cost containment, and plan designMeet directly with key clients and prospects to influence decisions and secure winsRepresent the firm at conferences, associations, webinars, and industry forumsStrengthen relationships with PBMs, carriers, specialty vendors, and strategic partnersSkills10+ years of experience in pharmacy consulting, PBM strategy, or clinical pharmacy leadershipExpertise in drug trend analysis, clinical program evaluation, benefit design, and PBM contractingStrong commercial presence with the ability to simplify complex topics for non‑clinical audiencesDemonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire a high‑performing teamStrong communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading meetings from the C‑suite to analystsProven track record of driving revenue growth without compromising qualityP&L ownershipPharmD strongly preferredExperience selling consulting or advisory servicesExperience working within or alongside employer groups and brokersKnowledge of analytics platforms, drug utilization reviews, and audit methodologiesA bachelor's degree in business or related fields (e.g., finance, marketing, or operations) is preferred but not requiredIndustry designations like Certified Consultant Pharmacist (CCP), Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) are encouragedA graduate degree or MBA is beneficial but not necessaryBenefitsComprehensive benefits to our colleagues, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, generous paid time off and much more.Company OverviewAlera Group is a growing leader, reimagining the complex risk management, insurance and financial services delivery experience through intentional collaboration connecting clients to holistic solutions that protect and grow all they value most.
