They are seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead business development efforts, manage strategic partnerships, and execute the company's growth strategy across various federal agencies.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute D&G’s annual growth strategy, business development plan, and market expansion initiativesEstablish and manage annual pipeline, bookings, revenue, and growth objectivesIdentify emerging mission requirements, budget priorities, acquisition trends, and new market opportunitiesAdvise executive leadership on growth investments, strategic priorities, and market positioningSupport mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and partnership evaluations as requestedBuild and maintain executive-level relationships with government customers, industry partners, and acquisition stakeholdersLead customer engagement efforts across DoD, DHS, USCG, DLA, USTRANSCOM, Combatant Commands, Military Departments, and other federal agenciesDevelop account strategies that strengthen customer intimacy and position D&G for future opportunitiesEnsure consistent engagement with key customers, stakeholders, and influencersOversee strategic capture activities from opportunity identification through contract awardLead bid/no-bid decisions and opportunity qualification reviewsDevelop and approve win strategies, customer engagement plans, teaming strategies, competitive assessments, and pursuit plansEnsure capture activities are disciplined, measurable, and aligned with corporate growth objectivesPersonally lead capture efforts for the company’s most strategic pursuitsOversee proposal development activities and proposal staffEnsure proposal submissions are compliant, compelling, and aligned with established win strategiesSupport solution development, executive summaries, pricing strategies, oral presentations, and color team reviewsDrive continuous improvement of proposal processes, templates, tools, and content librariesDevelop and maintain relationships with strategic partners, subcontractors, and industry teammatesIdentify opportunities to expand D&G’s market access through partnerships, joint ventures, mentor-protégé relationships, and acquisitionsNegotiate teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and strategic partnership arrangements in coordination with contracts and legal counselMonitor procurement forecasts, budget developments, acquisition strategies, and competitor activitiesMaintain awareness of emerging technologies, policy developments, and mission priorities affecting target marketsProvide actionable market intelligence and competitive insights to executive leadershipLead and mentor capture managers, proposal personnel, business development professionals, and growth operations staffEstablish performance metrics, accountability standards, and professional development plansFoster a culture of collaboration, innovation, ownership, and customer focusPartner with operational leadership to ensure alignment between growth activities and execution capabilitiesMaintain a qualified and balanced pipeline aligned with corporate revenue objectivesProvide accurate opportunity forecasts, pipeline reviews, and growth reportingTrack key performance indicators including pipeline growth, win rates, proposal activity, bookings, and customer engagement metricsPresent growth performance updates and recommendations to executive leadershipRepresent D&G Solutions at customer meetings, industry conferences, professional associations, and government forumsServe as a visible ambassador for D&G’s brand, capabilities, and mission impactSkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Public Administration, Management, or a related field15+ years of federal government contracting experience in business development, capture management, account management, program management, or growth leadership roles10+ years supporting DoD, DHS, U.S. Coast Guard, Combatant Commands, Defense Agencies, or related federal organizationsDemonstrated success identifying, capturing, and winning federal opportunities valued between $10 million and $100 million or greaterExperience leading business development, capture, and proposal organizationsStrong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, contracting vehicles, competitive procurements, and small business programsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain executive-level customer relationshipsActive Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain oneRestricted to U.S. persons as defined under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or related fieldExperience supporting logistics, sustainment, supply chain management, readiness, transportation, acquisition, technology modernization, engineering, or mission support programsExperience within a federal contractor generating between $50 million and $500 million in annual revenueExisting relationships within USTRANSCOM, DLA, USCG, DHS, Combatant Commands, Military Departments, or other targeted customer
