[Remote] Volunteer Social Media Manager

Faith in God Charity Missions is a faith-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering widows, orphans, and underserved communities across Cameroon and beyond. They are seeking a Volunteer Social Media Manager who will manage and grow their social media presence while aligning content with the organization's mission and values.ResponsibilitiesManage and schedule content across all FIGCM social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others as applicableDevelop and execute monthly content calendars in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications ManagerCreate engaging posts, captions, and basic visuals aligned with FIGCM's branding and faith-centered voiceCollaborate with the Graphic Designer to ensure visually consistent and mission-aligned contentMonitor engagement across platforms and respond to comments and messages in a professional and timely mannerShare impact stories, program updates, and faith-based encouragement to inspire and inform the FIGCM communityActively work to grow FIGCM's follower base and increase engagement across platformsUse social media scheduling tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite to plan and publish contentStay current with platform algorithm changes, trends, and best practices and apply relevant updates to FIGCM's strategyTrack key performance metrics and provide periodic reports to the Marketing & Communications ManagerPerform other related duties as assignedSkillsProven experience managing social media accounts, whether personal, nonprofit, or professionalStrong written communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to write in a warm, faith-sensitive, and mission-aligned toneFamiliarity with major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter)Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business SuiteBasic graphic design skills or experience using Canva or similar tools is a plusAbility to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlinesStrong alignment with FIGCM's mission, values, and faith-based approach to serviceCultural sensitivity and an understanding of the communities FIGCM servesBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experiencePrior experience managing social media for a nonprofit or charity organization is preferredDemonstrated portfolio of social media content or campaigns is a plusBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experiencePrior experience managing social media for a nonprofit or charity organization is preferredDemonstrated portfolio of social media content or campaigns is a plusCompany OverviewWe seek to advocate for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of widows, orphans and less privileged children worldwide to grow up in a loving family and know the love of Jesus.
